Rector's Welcome Address
On behalf of the Governing Council, Management, staff, and students of The Gateway (ICT) Polytechnic, Saapade, Ogun State, I warmly welcome all participants, guests, and partners to ICONFST'26. It gives me immense pleasure to receive scholars, researchers, innovators, industrialists, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and development partners gathered for this important conference.
This conference marks another significant milestone in our institution's commitment to knowledge creation, innovation, and responsible collaboration with industry. The theme, Sustainable Research from Gown to Town: Bridging the Academia and Industry Divide, is timely and thought-provoking, calling us to ensure that research moves beyond publications to practical solutions that improve lives and support national development.
As a Polytechnic rooted in practical knowledge, technological advancement, entrepreneurship, and skills development, we remain committed to producing graduates and research outcomes that meet real societal and industrial needs. Hosting ICONFST'26 demonstrates our dedication to becoming a leading institution where ideas are transformed into products, services, technologies, and policies for societal impact.
I encourage all delegates to engage actively beyond paper presentations: exchange ideas, establish research networks, build strategic partnerships, and pursue collaborative projects that benefit institutions, industries, and communities. I also appreciate our keynote speaker, lead paper presenter, committee members, partners, and all contributors whose support has made this conference possible.
With great pleasure, I, Dr Sanni Kehinde Oseni, hereby declare the International Conference on Science and Technology (ICONFST'26) officially open. I wish everyone fruitful deliberations, rewarding interactions, and a productive conference experience.
